Run the Solver
Quick Start · Step 7 of 9
Objective
Run the scheduling algorithm to automatically generate a timetable.
Prerequisites
- Data has been imported and reviewed
- Basic constraints have been configured
Estimated time
3 minutes
Steps
1. Navigate to Solver
Click Solver in the sidebar.
2. Review Solver Settings
The following settings are pre-configured with sensible defaults:
| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Algorithm | Constraint Satisfaction | The solving method |
| Max Iterations | 10,000 | Maximum attempts |
| Timeout | 30 seconds | Time limit |
| Optimization Level | Balanced | Quality vs speed |
3. Generate Schedule
Click Generate Schedule.
The solver will process your data and display progress. This typically takes a few seconds depending on your dataset size.
4. Wait for Completion
Once complete, the solver will display a summary:
- Total classes scheduled
- Conflicts found (if any)
- Resource utilization statistics
Expected Result
The solver completes successfully and displays a generated timetable.
